The Batang Munti Foundation Inc. (the Foundation) was established in June 20, 1996 with a principal place of business at Muntinlupa City. Its initial set of trustees included various professionals, public servants and other concerned citizens who would like to help children in Muntinlupa to finish their education by providing scholarships and health programs that will make them mentally, physical and psychologically strong enough to pursue the rigors of elementary, secondary and tertiary education.

The Foundation was spearheaded by then City Councilor Atty. Jo Jason T. Alcaraz of the City Hall of Muntinlupa with Mayor Jaime R. Fresnedi as part of the core management team. During its humble beginnings, the Foundation was able to obtain a PCNC accreditation which had already expired. Nevertheless, it continued with its goals to support children who were not given sufficient nutrition and who were underweight or severely wasted. It sought children who can be given financial assistance or scholarships because their parents do not have the financial capacity to support their children’s education. On December 2021, the Foundation regained PCNC accreditation.

Since its establishment, the Foundation has been able to help thousands of children who are called BMF scholars. The programs of the Foundation include scholarships, provision for milk and vitamins, character development and various activities in order to provide a linkage between the sponsors and the children that they support.
